Question: My periods started on 14 april. And I had unprotected sex on 19 20 and 21, though my boy tried not to release but for precautions I took ipill on 21st and 23rd. Can I still get pregnant ? If yes how can I avoid it ?

Brief Answer: Chances are Nil. Detailed Answer: Dear XXXXXXX Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern. Analysing your activities and dates, i can say here that you are relatively safe as you had sex in your safe period!! Your periods started on 14th April and considering that you have regular cycles, the days in which you had sex were safe days for you. Moreover, you took an i pill. So, apparently there are no chances of getting pregnant :) But do mention in case your cycles are irregular since you have mentioned that you have PCOD. XXXXXXX i would also like to add a piece of advice here, that you should avoid having unprotected sexual intercourse. You should force your partner to use condoms, as they not only prevent such complications like getting pregnant but also protect you from Sexually Transmitted Diseases. So, XXXXXXX this is my personal opinion for you based on details available here. If you still have any query you may please ask me. Stay Healthy. Dr Anshul Varshney , MD

Brief Answer: Detail Follows. Detailed Answer: XXXXXXX You don't worry. Even if cycles are irregular then also you took i pill. But you should not have taken twice. But it's ok, you just watch for spotting. You may get spotting and further irregular periods for further cycles, that would further complicate the PCOD. Anyways, you be happy, i am sure you won't get pregnant :) Let me know when you get periods. Stay Happy and blessed. If you no further queries, you may please close the discussion and rate it.
