Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I-pill?

Question: I had sex on 13th day and l took I-pill within 24hrs after sex.now my periods is late by 2days.is there a chance of ipill failure?how may days ipill can delay periods?
My legs are literally shaking coz am not preprd for a baby.I just checked the early symptoms of pregnancy in google.I hav none of them.evn I took pill with in 24hrs is there a chnc of pregnancy?? Pls rply

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or due to the side effect of I pill.
I pill has the side effect of delaying the next expected periods by2-3 weeks.
I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done, if negative, then you can safely wait for the periods for another2-3 weeks.

Hi dear, do not panic. I pill is effective in preventing pregnancy in 95-98% cases, if taken within24 hours of unprotected intercourse.
Therefore, the chances of pregnancy are extremely rare.
Still, I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test to be doubly sure. It will be mostly negative, and therefore you need not worry.
