Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Plan-B?

Question: Hello,
I took my birth control a day late right after my period had ended. I had unprotected sex then realized I had missed a day. I took the pill and took plan B. I have been taking my birth control every day since then. Do you have any opinion on my chances of being pregnant?

Brief Answer:
small chance
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
While it is true that birth control pills work best if you take them every day at the same time, usually missing a day does not cause a big problem.
Since you also took plan B your chances of being pregnant are very small.
If you are concerned, check a pregnancy test 3 weeks after the sexual encounter in question or one week after a missed period.
Check the sample in a first morning urine.
I think it is extremely unlikely that you will be pregnant given those circumstances.
