Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Unwanted-72?
What are chances of pregnancy ?
Also when can she expect her next periods ?
Chances of pregnancy almost nil.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next menstrual period. Thus, if she is expecting her next natural period on the 1st of January, her ovulation must have happened around 15th December. This means that she was in the safe or non-ovulatory period during the time of the intercourse. This makes the chances of pregnancy almost nil naturally.
Added to this, she consumed the emergency pill early enough to give almost 99 percent protection.
She may see some withdrawal bleeding for a few days now due to the high hormone content in the pill. Also, her next natural period may get delayed by a week or two. Please see a specialist for further help if she becomes overdue by ten days for her next period.
Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

When can expect withdrawal bleeding ?
its fifth day after taking unwanted - 72
also her expected periods are on 30th of December
Withdrawal bleeding can be expected up to 7-10 days after the pill intake.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing back.
Withdrawal bleeding can be expected to occur up to 7-10 days after the pill intake. If her next natural period is due on the 30th of December, she is likely to have ovulated around the 16th. This means she was in the safe period when you had the intercourse.
Hope this helps.

is withdrawal bleeding will work as periods ? cause dates for both looks same
or if periods will again take place after withdrawal bleeding
i am bit confused regarding this
Withdrawal bleeding may not be seen always.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing again.
Withdrawal bleeding is not a compulsory phenomenon. It may not be seen in some. In such a case, the next natural period remains the same and if there is any delay by more than ten days, an expert should be consulted for further help.
If, withdrawal bleeding is seen now, her next natural period will obviously be delayed and again, help may be needed if there is any excess delay of more than 10-14 days.
Withdrawal bleeding should not be considered as a period. This is happening because of the pill effect. Rarely, this bleeding can occur along with the onset of a period.
Hope I have cleared your confusion. Anyway, she has very very little, almost negligible chance of pregnancy and hence there is no need to worry.
Take care.
Wish you good health.
regards,
Shanti.V.
