Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking An I-pill?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I'm 19 years old and I had sex for the first time exactly a week ago. It was unprotected, none of us came and it was my first day of periods. I've been having regular periods for months but this month they were already 2 weeks late.
I took an ipill within 24 hours to be safe. My periods lasted normally for 4 days, however I didn't get cramps and they were lighter. They ended on 30th July. I started bleeding again on 2nd August. Apart from bleeding, I've been having severe abdominal pain, loose motions and feeling of fatigue.
What does this mean? I'm worried about being pregnant or having an STI since the sex was unprotected.

Brief Answer:
Due to i-pill.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The bleeding that has started now after the periods is due to a withdrawal bleeding caused by i-pill that you had. This bleeding will gradually subside on its own in next 4-5 days. Your next period may be delayed by a week or so due to the effect of this pill. For the cramps you can take an over the counter anti spasmodic. These symptoms are not likely to be related to an STD or pregnancy.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Hello, thank you so much for getting back to me. I had one more question. After the sex, I felt hurt and had a little burning sensation whenever I would urinate. It only lasted for a few hours but it was there. Is that normal?
