Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pills?
Question: Hi doctor I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend last night around 7pm, I used the pull-out method and did not ejaculate inside her. We only did it for 5 to 10mins. This morning she took her first postinor 2 pill at 11am and the second pill 12 hours later at 11pm can I know how safe is she from pregnancy? She's on her fertile period by the way.
Brief Answer:
No chance of pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
If she had emergency contraceptive pills within 72 hours of the unprotected intercourse, then the pregnancy is prevented in 95-98% cases.
So, there is absolutely no chance of pregnancy.
I will suggest you not to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
