Question: Had unwanted 72 within 24hrs of sex though condom was used but leakage suspected, period date was 16th of march had sex on 27 march nd nxt period/ withdrawl bleeding?? came on 6th of april continued for 3 days but with less bleading compared to previous period.Today is 17th of april but no period. So did the period came earlier on 6th or was that an withdrawl bleeding?

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Unwanted 72 gives more than 95% protection against unwanted pregnancy if it is taken within 24 hrs. Here, chance of pregnancy is quite LOW.

2) You got withdrawal bleeding on 6th April due to effect of the Unwanted 72 pill. It is quite normal and physiological phenomena. Most women get this type of bleeding.

3) Your period will be delayed more than 2 weeks from expected period date due to hormonal imbalance and stress. You should undergo one home pregnancy test after 1 week to clear doubt.
