Is Pregnancy Possible Through Intercourse On Day 3 Of Menstrual Cycle?

Question: Hi, I had a medical abortion on May 28 at around 6 weeks gestation. I didn't want to, but I had to. Anyway, I am on cycle day 5 and still bleeding. This is my first period since the abortion. I had sex with my partner on cycle day 3 and on cycle day 5. Last time I got pregnant I only had sex once and the sex was exactly on cycle day 14. How likely is it for me to get pregnant on cycle day 3 and 5 while on my period? I know I normally ovulate around CD 14 to 16. I have just always heard your ovulation is all over the place after a miscarriage or abortion. I just can't do this again. Pregnancy is unhealthy for me, I can't take birth control because of high blood pressure. I just need to know if there is a chance I could be ovulating? Or ovulate way sooner than normal?
Brief Answer:
Minimal chances of pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
After an abortion the periods may be irregular for a while and same is true with ovulation. It is very difficult to predict the day of ovulation solely based on a history. In your case the chances of ovulation on day 3 and day 5 are less than 2%. These chances are almost negligible. It is best to keep your fingers crossed and wait for your next periods to know for sure.
