Is Pregnancy Possible Through Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?

Question: Hi doctor,

I met my gf after long time and we did have some good time and my penis touched her vagina without semen ( no penetration ) . This happened on XXXXXXX 23. She used a tablet called m pill just to be safe ( on 25 ) . She was expecting a period on XXXXXXX 27 ( as per her usual cycle ) but till now she did not get any bleeding or period. She has some breast tenderness and some vaginal irritation. She even had some white discharge which she says Is Normal for her.

We are worried about her pregnancy but at the same time I am slightly confident since I didnot do intercourse. Is it common for the pill to take so many days. Please suggest.

I have read you query and I understand your concerns about possibility of pregnancy.

Following is my reply:

1) Since she was about to start her periods, it was safe period to have sex without chances of pregnancy. SHe would not have got pregnant if there was intercourse.

2) Pill has given additional protection against pregnancy.

3) Hence there is no chance of pregnancy at all. Dont worry about it.

4) The pill contains hormone which delays period. Hence wait for another wek for the periods to start.

Just for further information,
Below are her period dates in prior months XXXXXXX 27 ( didnot happen till today )
May 27
April 24 night
March 24

Before that irregular periods with a delay of week .

The periods last for one week . I just wanted check if the time we engagedis still safe.
I did masturbate in the morning (3 hrs back ) but i did bath .

Also, what can be the signs if the pill worked or not worked. Please suggest us next corse of action.
