default
Posted on Thu, 10 Dec 2015
Question: Please I'm a virgin and I was trying to have sex for the first time. My boy friend didn't penetrate but he had the tip of his penis in the outer part of my vagina. I later saw sperm on the bed. Can I get pregnant?

Brief Answer:
no chance of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hello Girl,

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

Following points are favoring that you cannot be pregnant.

- He did not penetrate. For pregnancy to be occurred deep penetration with semen ejaculation inside cervix is required.

- Touching with tip of penis to outer vagina does not cause pregnancy.

- You have attempted sex for the first time. Your hymen is not completely broken likely so no chances that can sperm can reach deep inside even after ejaculation.

- You have already taken contraceptive pills.

Let me know last 3 dates of beginning of your menstrual cycle so I may give more reasons of not having pregnancy.

You can wait for your next period for confirmation that you are not pregnant.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Brief Answer:
No pregnancy possible

Detailed Answer:
Dear,

Thanks for information.

Considering 28(+/- 2) days cycle your ovulation should be around 12th to 17th day of the menstruation and you can be pregnant up to maximum 19th day of menstruation when intercourse is done in this period.

Your last menstruation was on 29th October. So you can be pregnant only when successful intercourse have been done maximum before 17th November.

Considering all facts no chance of pregnancy is there.

Wait for your period for more 5 days. It will be there likely.
