Is Pregnancy Possible Through Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Feb 2015
Question: Hi Doctor , i and my girl friend tried to have sex . I inserted my penis inside her vagina , for some reason
it was not going in properly . That is , the head of my penis could hardly go in and i was not strong and erect.
I am 100 % sure that i did not ejaculate and i didn't even start feeling the pleasure.
I tried like this couple of of times and with a minute i loose erection completely and i gave up.
Now the question is , i got scared as I came to know the information that my girl friend might become pregnant because i have read that even the fluid from my penis is enough to make her pregnant.
I tried the above things on 6th of XXXXXXX in early in the morning. She took ipill [Emergency Contraceptive] on 8th of XXXXXXX in the evening. Are there chances of pregnancy ?
Please help me with your answer.

The last menstrual period date was on 30th December.

Not sure about the duration of monthly cycle. But I think its Regular. She is expecting her next period to start somewhere between 19th of December to 24th of December.

Brief Answer:
Rare or negligible chance of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for additional information.

First of all, you involved in sexual activity on relatively safe period. Loose erection CAN'T lead to proper ejaculation. Additionally, she took I-pill within first 72 hrs of sex, which will give extra protection.

In this case, chance of pregnancy is EXTREMELY RARE or NEGLIGIBLE. She will get withdrawal bleeding within 7-10 days due to effect of the pill.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and practice safe sex in future.

Dr S Patra

Thanks Doctor . Could you please tell me what "withdrawal bleeding" means and what does it mean if she gets withdrawal bleeding and what does it mean if she doesn't get withdrawal bleeding within 7 to 10 days from the day of taking the pill.

Brief Answer:
Withdrawal bleeding is due to change in hormone dosage.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

Withdrawal bleeding occurs due to the change in hormone dosage (by I-pill) causes the uterine lining to weaken just enough to allow for some bleeding to occur. It is not a true period. Most women get this bleeding within 7-10 days after taking pill.

Very few women may not get the bleeding. However, she will get same protection and pill will be effective enough as earlier.

Hope, I have answered your query. Kindly, close the discussion.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
