default
Posted on Mon, 21 Mar 2016
Question: We had a unprotected sex on 14th XXXXXXX and on 15th I've taken I pill (within 12 hours) ..... and on 20th XXXXXXX evening around 5'o' clock I start bleeding and again around 12'o' clock same day we had a unprotected sex but this time my partner didn't cum inside me ... he cleaned with the towel and again we continued...... is there any chance of getting pregnant...
.. I think on first day of period there are lesser chances to get pregnant. Please help ...... it's 30th January I am still bleeding with small medium blood clots

Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy are less than 5%.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
On 20th XXXXXXX the bleeding that you had was a withdrawal bleeding due to the effect of I-pill that you took. It is not due to period according to the dates. The chances of pregnancy without an ejaculation inside are less than 5%.
It is best to wait for your next period and it can be delayed by a few days due to the effect of I-pill.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Chances of pregnancy are present.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The I-pill that you took on 15th is not effective for more than 72 hours. Since you had sex after 5 days so the chances of pregnancy are there even if you were having a withdrawal bleeding. It is now best to wait for your periods or test for pregnancy after a week from now to rule out pregnancy.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Next periods can be delayed by a week.

Detailed Answer:
The next period can be delayed by a week. Even if there is a pregnancy there are ways to abort the pregnancy with the help of medicines.
The excessive bleeding or irregular periods can happen due to the effect of I-pill. This will normalize in next 1-2 cycles. The chances of pregnancy are nearly 5-10%.
