Is Pregnancy Possible While Having Microgestin Pills At Various Timings?
Question: I'm taking Microgestin 1/20. I've been taking it for about five months and I'm generally pretty good about timing (sometimes I'm a little late or early taking it, but I've read it's not a huge factor with combo pills). I was supposed to start my pack yesterday at (9:00 pm, but it slipped my mind andI took the pill this morning at 7:00. I plan on taking today's pill at my regular time. I had my period during the 3rd day of my placebo week and had unprotected sex during the 7th (the day before I was supposed to start my new pack and my period finished). I've read that I don't need a backup or EC, but I want to make sure. What is my next step?

You are absolutely right it just needs to be within a 3 hour window to take the next tablet as usually scheduled.
Since it is the start of cycle you can take the next pill today at night time and from tomorrow fix it to night schedule at roughly the same time.
There is no risk of pregnancy and you are well protected as there is no egg in female body at the start of cycle.

Thank you for your answer. So there is no need for emergency contraceptive? And I just take today's pill at 9:00 pm and continue with the rest of the pack as I should?
