Question: Hello. I am a 22 year old female. I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosis at the age of 13. Due to that diagnosis I have renal and pulmonary issues.

I have been off and on prednisone for nine years. I've had two blood transfusions due to a lung collapse and hemorrhage, and my protein creatine number has been over 1000. I have also been on CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil), methotrexate, and two rounds of another chemo drug that I can't currently remember the name of.

Recently I went in for blood work and we decided to run a battery of hormonal tests as well, as I have been in flare up and these can contribute.

A few days ago my doctor called and told me I'm pregnant.

Now, I have a bit of an issue with this because A) lupus, B) the various uterus damaging drugs I've been on but MAINLY C) I haven't had sex since January.

Is it possible I could be nearly eight months pregnant and have no idea??? No symptoms or anything?

He did mention it could be a miscarriage that didn't fully miscarry. In which I also don't know what that means or entails either.

I do have an ultrasound booked, but I'd like some kind of answer or idea to think on until then.

Do you think it's possible to be eight months pregnant and not know?
Do you think it's possible to be pregnant with Lupus? And the various medications?
What does this mean?
And what if it is a miscarriage that hasn't gone through. What does that mean?

My last menstrual cycle was August 5. It's not uncommon for me to be irregular so I didn't think much of it when I was late or early or if it was lighter or heavier than usual.

I took a home pregnancy test back in February after my then boyfriend and I broke up just as a precaution.
I took another home pregnancy test in XXXXXXX just because of some irregularity in my cycle.
Both tests were negative.

I believe my doctor did run a bhcg, but I was in shock when he told me I was pregnant, so i don't remember the result. But I think he said something about 7.?

I have an ultrasound booked later this week, I'm just curious what to expect.

I haven't gotten any bigger, circumference wise, I've actually lost some weight.

I'm just wondering what to expect going into this. What are the chances I'm eight months pregnant and didn't know vs the chances I miscarried and their is a dead baby still inside me.

I just want to have a better idea what to expect.
