Is Presence Of Pus Cells In Urine Despite Normal Urine Culture Report During Pregnancy Worrisome?

Question: Hi, My wife is 17weeks 5 days pregnant. urine culture reports is normal. but Pus cell range 20-24, is there any problem.

Thanks ma'am. Today I had a appointment with urologist as suggested by our gynecologist. He gives one antibiotics Ceftum 500 2 times for 5days..and Cranpac D for 8 days 2times.

This scenario is seen in many pregnant women. So if she doesn't have any symptoms then no need of treatment.

Some times a renal stone may also present with pus cells in urine, so during next ultrasound ask your doctor to rule out any chances of stones.

Give her plenty of fluids and water.
