Brief Answer:
No chance of fatality by rabies

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The chance of fatality by rabies now is definitely not a possibility. The cat that bit you could have contracted rabies after a long time biting you. This is because the rabid animal has high chances of death immediately after passing the rabies virus to another host. The saliva in which the rabies virus survives will sooner be spead to brain of the animal and causes paralytic attack and sooner the death.

So stay calm, the chance of death for rabies is nil in your case.
