Is Recommendation To Drink Ony One Litre Of Water A Day A Sensible Advice?

Question: This is follow up query on my last Question which was answered by Dr. XXXXXXX (Urologist)
I have one more query, we have consulted urologist and he told my father to have uroflow test. After that tests he has given medicine for 2 weeks and told my father to have only 1 liter water in one day which include water used for milk, tea also.
Dr. Can you please tell me why did he asked my father to have 1 liter water only bcoz I feel consuming more water is good. and he told us to visit after 20 days.

You have not provided feedback about questions which I have asked earlier.especially regarding size of the prostate,post void residual urine volume.

Please post me Uroflowmetry test report.

I am also surprised about the advice taking only one litre of water in 24 hours .

It is better to ask the concerned Urologist about the rational behind consuming only one litre of water.

Thanks for reply.
Sorry sir I am unable to gather these details size pf prostate and all. bcoz all these reports are at my native and I am at XXXXXXX

What my parents told me that urologist Dr. told him bcoz his bladder is not getting emtied completely, so residual of urine present in bladder might be causing this infection. Than he told them get uroflow test done. After that he told them consume only 1 liter of water in 24 hrs. and come back after 20 days.

He said clearly dnt consume more than 1 liter. after asking he told them do what I am telling you. Thats why I am asking you if you have any idea for same.

Sir, I have got uroflow report but it is not clear. I will try to get the clear report and will attach. I am attaching sir report , see if you are able to make out.

1) Detail Ultrasound Scanning report with post void urine volume.

If possible call your father at XXXXXXX so that he can be evaluated properly.
