Brief Answer:
Rectal cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking

I understand your concern for your mother health, but you have not to worry about something that you couldn’t know if it will happened .

The rectal cancer has a good prognosis in general and very good response too the therapy.

I am sure that your mother will be fine. Its not that easy for a cancer to spread if the disease it’s only locally .

Regards

Hi it's good news. It looks like the tumour has gone and mum has had a complete response to treatment. Doctor can't be 100% sure as cancer cells can be left behind that are too small to see. So the options are to see an anaesthetist who will go through the operation as to if mum is fit enough or have biopsies under General anaesthetic and take it from there. If all cancer gone mum will be under close surveillance but if cancer still there it looks like the op. Consultant seems very optimistic xxx
