Is Recurrent Stomach Pain Post Intercourse A Sign Of IUD Displacement?
Question: Hi, I have an IUD(mirena) for the second time and I had sex the other night and I've had some fairly strong stomach pain on the right side ever since. It isn't constant but it consistently comes and goes for the last 30hrs. I had slight spotting for a couple hours right after but none since. Should I be concerned that the IUD has displaced?
I've never been able to feel for the strings myself because of the tilt of my cervix. My partner said he did feel them slightly during sex though.

Brief Answer:
Mirena displacing is difficult
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Mirena is thick and it does not get displaced so easily with acts like sex. I don’t think your Mirena is displaced.
Pain in abdomen could be due to other reasons like gastritis. Please take an antacid available over the counter to know if the pain reduces.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards
