Is Semen Volume Of 2 Ml A Cause For Concern?

Question: Hi,

I am having sperm count of 2ml and doctor told it is ok.if I do sex with my wife once a day sperm are releasing only a one or two drops.is it OK shell I need a treatment.how much time it will take to reproduce sperm?

You have mentioned your sperm count to be 2ml .I would like to state that sperm count is always expressed as millions per ml

1)Have you done your semen analysis ?

Please upload your semen analysis report .

One of two drops of semen deposited in vagina will not suffice to impregnate your wife .

Liquefaction time is 45 min,volume 2ml,viscosity normal,reaction Alkaline,activate motile 75percent,sluggish 20%,non motile 15%, total spermatozoa count 60millioms/ml

Hello,

Thanks for uploading semen analysis report . All the parameters i.e. count , motility and morphology of sperms are normal as compared to WHO standards . There is every possibility of conception provided your wife has normal ovulation cycle .

As regards small volume of semen, it is likely to be due to frequent sex with a shorter period of interval .

Try to practice sex on alternate day .

There is no scientific data is available about effect consuming too much Beer on sperm count .However alcohol leads to low sperm count .
