Brief Answer: it is good but will increase weight Detailed Answer: Hello, Seroquel is a good drug for your symptoms and can treat them effevtively. But seroquel has a tendency to increase weight And increase cholesterol-- by increasing the appetite. So, if you can crub it and effectively control what you eat: then you can.proceed with this drug. If not, then i would advice that you should try paroxetine 12.5-37.5mg in morning. Take etizolam for acute attacks if anxiety ( taken on SOS basis). And for sleep you may need zolpidem 5-10mg for some days. The need for etizolam and zolpidem will reduce and finally stop. So, please look into the facts and then decide. If you have more doubts, i will be pleased to asnswer them. Wish you good health! Dr. Manisha Gopal MD Psychiatry
