Is Sexual Intercourse Advisable While Treating Gonorrhea Infection?

Question: I was treated for Gonorrhea four days ago. I had unprotected sex before the 7 day window was up. Wil I be reinfected or could the antibiotics still be in my system?

Usually it is recommended that you should wait seven days after finishing all medications for gonorrhea before having sex in order to avoid getting infected with gonorrhea again or spreading gonorrhea to your partner.

But related your concern, based on your data I think still exist the risk to be reinfected ( maybe low but exist).

So, I suggest to retest again for gonorrhea together with your sexual partner.
