Question: I have developed several places in my arms and shoulders that are giving me sharp pain, concentrated in pin point spots. I do not have any noticeable weakness and while I exercise regularly, I haven't done anything to cause this. I take simvastatin and have for several years.

And for the time being call your doctor and discuss with him/her regarding temporarily stopping simvastatin.
