Brief Answer:
Different diseases caused by different viruses.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Shingles is not a symptom of HIV.
Shingles is caused by varicella zoster virus while HIV is caused by another virus human immunodeficiency virus.

They differ completely in the genetic material and in the symptoms they cause to the body.
They are different diseases caused by different viruses.
So shingles has nothing to do with HIV.

Hope I have answered the question.

Thanks doctor, shingles may happen if imunnity is comprised. I read that hiv suppress the immunity, as a result shingle may happen especially in young adults, isn't true? I was just 26 when shingles occurred. But before that and after that I didn't had any symptoms of flu or cold. I am confused by term immunity compromised. Please clarify thanks.

Brief Answer:
No symptoms specific for HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
It is true that shingles can happen when immune system is compromised but this doesn't mean that shingles is a symptom of HIV.
Several conditions can cause a low immunity such different viral infection, flu, common cold, hepatitis, HIV, chemotherapy etc.
Having had shingles once doesn't mean that you may have been infected from HIV.
As I told you the symptoms of HIV are very common with other viral infections and none of the symptoms neither having had shingles can indicate that you may have possibly had HIV.
Only the tests can show if you have HIV.
