Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern.

Your mother is 77 year old and she got fracture of proximal humerus(separation of ball from shaft). If it is displaced than shoulder hemiarthroplasty( partial shoulder replacement) is best option.

Shoulder fracture indications for hemiarthroplasty include the following:

1 XXXXXXX four-part fractures.

2 XXXXXXX three-part fractures when open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) is complicated by poor bone quality which is common in her age.

3 XXXXXXX three- and four-part fractures with concomitant humeral head dislocation.

I can serve you better if you can upload x ray or CT scan report.

You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
