Brief Answer:
Not related to ovulation.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Spotting before a period can be suggestive of an impending period. The spotting is not related to ovulation. You can predict the ovulation by using ovulation prediction kits during the mid-cycle.

I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.

My period has gone much lighter than usual is this a problem? I had a period for 7 days that usually lasts 5 days I then stopped and had spotting days 14 to 21 of cycle this then stopped now on day 30 and i have started spotting again I am worried sick something is wrong and I won't conceive. Any idea what's wrong please?

This is why I am worried. I am worried sick about any gynecological cancer. Mum had ovarian cancer and nana womb cancer and cousin cervical cancer. Her is my situation:
January to May regular 25 to 27 days cycles June 9 days very light spotting, stopped for 3 days then had a 5 day period (31 day cycle)
July 2 days spotting then period for 5 days (26 day cycle)
August 3 days spotting, then 7 day period and 2 days spotting straight after end of period. I then stopped for 4 days then had a 5 day period though only light (2 sanitary towels a day) (31 day cycle)
Then today started spotting, maybe period due as had breast tenderness that is ok now, but have a heavy tummy and mild aching with bad back ache.
I am trying to conceive ovulation and pregnancy tests are negative. I am really worried I will never conceive or I don't ovulate? I must of ovulated in the past as I got pregnant in February 2017 but unfortunately missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. Baby never grew from 5 weeks.
I have been under stress due to my friend dying of a brain tumour but I don't really feel stressed.
Please help me asap.
My GP isn't concerned and is sending me for a scan in 2 weeks.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to mild hormonal disturbance.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

This irregular spotting is suggestive of a hormonal disturbance. This is not related to any gynecological malignancy but detailed investigations are needed to rule this out. You need to consult a gynecologist to get hormonal tablets prescribed so as to get a regular period which will help in conception.

Hope my answer is helpful. Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.

Brief Answer:
Ovulation can happen.

Hi,

Ovulation can happen with mild hormonal imbalance. But the time of ovulation is not fixed. You can consult an infertility specialist regarding proper treatment.
