Brief Answer: Need to be Examined, and investigated Detailed Answer: Hi, Welcome to XXXXXXX Very little brownish blood from vagina after 5 months of Hysterectomy could be due to delayed absorption of some suture material, which is the commonest cause. When the granulation tissue or healing tissue around the suture sloughs out, it can cause brownish discharge. It is also imprtant for us to know the cause of Hysterectomy. If it was due to some pre cancerous, or cancer, your Doctor has to examine you and do needful. You may also see bleeding due to Thin vagina as a result of low estrogen level after hysterectomy. It could also be due to trauma after intercourse, or heavy weight lifting, some exertion, constipation etc. There could be infection of vault ( stump after hysterectomy) which can cause brownish discharge, usually with foul smell. I would suggest, it is better to go and see your Doctor, and do accordingly. I hope this information would help you. You are welcome for any further questions. Dr H Hamdani
