Question: Is strengthening exercises like Squats, pushup, planks etc good while trying to conceive.
I have not done these exercises before.I am slightly overweight. My weight is 66 kgs and I am 5.5 ft.
However I do a moderate physical activity like walking from office for 20 mins each day.

Hi,
I hope you do not suffer from any known medical condition. If there are any, then let me know about it in the follow up.
Do you have history of previous miscarriages. If there are none, then there are no absolute contraindication to exercise. You may continue the exercise while trying to conceive. She can continue exercise.
It would be a good idea to bring weight to normal as much as possible before conceiving. The exercise may be helpful to control weight too. In addition, I will also recommend to take tab folic acid 5mg once daily. This medicine is recommended for women who plan to conceive.
As far as diet is concerned, there are no specific instructions. Keep eating healthy home food. No junks. Make sure the diet helps to control weight. No other instructions necessary.
