Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HealthCare Magic. Thank you for posting your query. I have gone through the details of your post thoroughly . I can understand that you are very anxious about your health.
What I can make out is that you have emphysema and increased sensitivity to pollens , animal furs, chemicals. The reduction in dose must have been made based on your current lung condition after proper examination and looking at the investigations. Do not worry about the dosage and schedule.
Take the medications as advised .
Use the inhalers as and when required.
Keep the indoors clean.
Try to be in a positive frame of mind.
2 tips -
1. Try to consciously breathe in and out for 5 minutes a day
2. Everyday try to write 3 good things that went well that day in a diary.
They will reduce your stress and anxiety.
Take the neuromedicines.
Remain fit.
Try to socialise a bit.
You will come out of this.
Hope this helps.
Write back to us.
Have a nice day.
Regards.

I am giving you other options which can reduce pain.
Detailed Answer:
Here they are
- exercises, best performed under the direction of a physical therapist.
-Transcutaneous Electro-Nerve Stimulator (TENS) units use pads that are placed on your skin to provide stimulation around the area of pain and may help to reduce some types of pain symptoms.
- interventional techniques like epidural injections or facet injections into the joints
You see , it is difficult to comment without actually seeing you . For chronic pain , a long acting opioid is needed. The short acting ones won't be of much help. Keep an eye on the adverse effects like constipation, drowsiness.
Please consult with your doctor.
Regards.

Kindly appoint someone to take care of your pets.
Detailed Answer:
Opioids are pain medications which are essential for chronic pain and fatigue. Yes they have adverse effects. But they reduce the pain indeed.
I would suggest you to visit the doctor . You need a face to face conversation regarding the exact dosage and schedule of the opioids.
Coming to your pets, appoint someone to take care of them. Do not worry about them . They will be alright.
Regards.
