Is Sudden Soft Stool A Sign Of Cancer?

default
Posted on Mon, 22 Jun 2015
Question: Can diarreha like symptoms cause narrow stool...mine is usually hard to pass, but all of sudden is much softer and only about .5 to 1 inch in diameter. I am very nervous. If cancerous could it go from normal to small so quickly or would it have been more gradual.

I usually pass 1 stool every couple of days which is usually bigger and more solid and usually have to strain a bit. (approx 2 inches in diameter on a regular basis)

A couple of times this week, I have to go instantly...no strain and many (about 10 .5 (6inch long) ones......today...I did this twice an hour apart.

No blood or mucus or diabetes or health issues. (low calorie diet this week though)
