Is Surgery The Best Treatment For Descending Colon?

Question: I have descending bowel. It's been really good for the past two weeks (I think it's been that long), but tonight it has become bad again. Usually, I can push it back in and it stays, but tonight it has come back with a vengeance. I've been drinking a laxative every night (mixed with water), and after about three nights, I had a day or day and a half of soft bowel movements. Tonight, while my husband and I were fixing dinner, I had to go to the bathroom, and my bowel descended and wouldn't stay in when I pushed it in. I have put dishes in dish washer, ignoring the wet feeling I was getting. When I went to the bathroom again, my under pants were wet with a mixture of blood (not much) and rather thick clear jell. I don't know what to do.
Brief Answer:
go to a surgeon
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
Unfortunately, you are already on medical management.
There is no further medication that can be given.
You need to meet a surgeon immediately for surgical repair.
Please do so immediately so that the bowel does not get ulcerated- which will cause further problems.
I am sorry that my response is of little help, but you do need to get a surgeon.
Best of luck,
Dr Mittal
