Is Sweating On Face And Neck While Sleeping In A Child A Concern?
Question: nullMy daughter is 4 years old. Recently we started seeing that she is sweating on her face and neck while sleeping. This is happening in day time and also night time.
Sweating on the face is not huge but it is not very little also.
She is starting to sweat within first 30 mins. after going to the sleep and she is not sweating rest of the night. And sweating is happening mostly on the face and neck.
She had cold/fever last week but fever went off 5 days back. We noticed sweating almost since last week.
Please let me know if there is anything to worry about the sweating.
Thanks so much for the response.
We are maintaining the same room temperature throughout the day/night. Is there any reason why she only sweats when she goes to sleep? and this started to happen since last week(when she got fever).
will there be any possibility of viral/bacterial infection associated to the sweating.. She is having normal temperature since last 5 days but still sweats.
Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
Does not seem to be a problem
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Health care magic.
I do not find the sweating a cause for concern. It's may occur if the temperature is not very comfortable. However once she gets adjusted to it, she does not sweat any further.

Rest assured that there is nothing like viral or bacterial associated sweating. Although you might have observed it since the last week, it might have gone unnoticed earlier. Anyway I would not worry about it unless there are any other associated problems.
