Is Swelling In The Lip Of A Child Associated With Breastfeeding?
Cold sores. Not related to breastfeeding.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have seen the blisters but they do not seem to be related to the breastfeeding. Rather, they seem to be cold sores, small and painful blisters that can appear around the mouth, face, or nose as caused by herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1). They usually go away in a week and no medications can make the infection go away. Cool foods and drinks can help relieve discomfort, and acetaminophen may also ease the pain. It would be advisable to separate the utensils of the child from that of the others of the family, in order to prevent spread.

No need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand but it is still the same. You need not worry. Nothing needs to be done about it. It should go away in a week. It is not likely to be due to wrong latching or breast feeding.
It could be the shape of the lips if it is not blisters but this I cannot comment without being able to examine it. I would insist you to wait and watch.
Hope I have answered your query.
