Is Swelling On Forehead Post Minor Hit To Head A Serious Cause For Concern?
Question: Hi Doctor,
My 2Yrs old daughter fell down at Night while getting down from bed(30min ago). She has got bit Swelling on her Forehead (Slightly Right Hand Side portion).
No other symptoms found and she did stop crying within 10 min of the incident.
I did apply towel dipped in cold water on the swelling part.Like the way we apply during sever fevers.
Please advice.
Thanks,

Brief Answer:
You have given the appropriate First Aid, wait and watch
Detailed Answer:
Hello there, thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.
From what I have understood, your daughter took a tumble and has a small lump on her forehead. This is quite normal and children are quite resistant. You can wait and watch for the next few days.
If she shows signs of excessive sleepiness or confusion during the day then you need to take her to the doctor. Otherwise.. the bruise should clear up in a few days.
Not to worry, let me know how i can help you further.
