Is Swelling On Hand Normal Post Surgery For Cubical Tunnel Syndrome?

Question: I had surgery for Cubical Tunnel Syndrome. Had hard cast on for four weeks. Every since getting cast off the entire arm, wrist and hand is swollen. I had the swelling before the surgery and thought this would have taken care of it. I leaving to another state real soon. Should I be worried about it please?
Brief Answer:
Should improve
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Certain degree of swelling is expected after such procedures and it may persist for several weeks. Cast and immobilization contribute to swelling so it should improve after vast removal. You should keep your arm elevated and rest till that. Wish you good health. Regards
