Is Switching From One Brand Of Mirtazapine To Another Safe?
Question: I was taking XXXXXXX pharmaceutical brand mirtazapine 30mg tablets for the past 1 and 1/2 years which was a reddish brown color which had 9 3 on the front and 7207 on the back. I just got my prescription refilled and they gave me Actavis pharmaceutical brand mirtazapine which looks totally different - it is a light yellow oval shaped tablet with WPI 1118 on the front. I am a little upset by taking another brand. I looked up the inactive ingredients for both companies and some ingredients are the same and some aren't. Does that mean that the pills are a little different. My friend told me as long as the active ingredients are the same that they are the same.
Brief Answer:
No worries, same effect, same generic,
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. As long as active ingredients is the same, brands does not matter. Generics should be the same which is mirtazapine, so yes take it with no worries It should not be the problem. Ignore the color variation and slight associated composition as brand has to do that to prevent copyright infringement and lawsuits.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget o close the discusison please.
