Is Swollen Lump On Rim Of Penis Foreskin Sign Of Penile Cancer?

Considerations
Detailed Answer:
thanks for sending the question.
It is not uncommon to have soreness and irritation in this part of the body. At the same time if you are appreciating a significant degree of skin change I would recommend that you bring this to the attention of your primary care doctor or urologist. If they can appreciate a significant change they might recommend some type of biopsy.
Commonly, irritation in this area is caused by fungal infections and inflammation. We want to be very safe and careful however to make sure there is nothing else more worrisome going on.
Penile cancer is extremely rare and I am glad that your doctor has referred you to a consultant. This is the most appropriate way to examine this type of situation. Try to take comfort in the fact that you are proceeding towards definitive examination to rule out anything worrisome-like cancer.
Thanks again for sending your question. Please let me know if you have any additional specific questions.
