Is Taking An Overdose Of Trika Fatal?

Question: My friend is 33 yrs old, and weighs 43kg. She is not suffering from any problem. Under depression she has consumed 50 trika 0.5mg tablet and locked herself in room for more than 12hrs. Is this fatal to life?

Trika is Alprazolam and is a benzodiazepine drug. Fortunately the benzodiazepine drugs are safe drugs and are rarely fatal.

She has consumed 50 tablets of 0.5 mg that is 25 mg tablet and this is not a fatal dose. No need to worry about that.
