Is Thalassemia Screening Test Recommended Before Marriage?

Question: Hi..
I am a boy with O+ ve blood group and want to marry a girl with B+ ve blood group... It will be good for marriage?Also
Please suggest if Thalassemia test is essential for these two blood groups for marriage?

O positive blood group boy can marry B positive blood group girl safely.
