Question: Hello doctor,
MY daughter is 7 years old. She is suffering stomach pain around navel for last 7 months.Doctors are telling it as gastric problem and being treated with antacids/ digene..Of late one doctor prescribed Sucrafil Suspension.500mg along with junior Lanzol (lansoprazole orally disintegrating tablets 15 mg.Is this the right prescription and can sucrafil be given twice to the child .
Brief Answer:
Yes you can give
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
You can give sucrafil and lanzol at the current dose. It should be safe.
Continue for a week or so to see improvement if the pain is due to gastritis.
However because it's been there for 7 months I would like to suggest ultrasound abdomen, stool and urine routine and deworming her if not done already
Regards

Ultrasound of abdomen done and result normal , stool check done five months back and normal, deworming done twice, once in Apr 13 and another on 02 Dec13.
After deworming the pain increases. some doctors suggested for endoscopy.
pl advice the next course of action to be done.
Brief Answer:
CT abdomen then endoscopy
Detailed Answer:
Hi
If all of them have been done, then you can ggo for CT abdomen because sometimes ultrasoundmsy be negative despite abdominal issues.
If that too is normal consult pediatric gastroenterologist for endoscopy.

Brief Answer:
May not be food related
Detailed Answer:
Pain can be due to other conditions apart from gastritis. May not be related to food.
You need to workup further as suggested to rule out rare causes like intestinal problems , do diverticulitis, nodes, etc
