Is The Sleeping Pattern Of My Son Appropriate?

I have question on my son's 8 month old sleeps habit.
During daytime, he takes 2 naps - one in morning and one in afternoon of 30 mins each. once or twice a week, he takes morning nap longer if I give him milk right when he is about to wake up and he is sleepy and don't sleep in afternoon.
At night, he sleeps @ around 08:00p.m. and wakes up in 1 hr crying, very rarely he needs milk otherwise I need to hold him and put to sleep. I put him in crib in bedroom to sleep and work in hall. During night we sleep in same bedroom where crib is.
He is light sleeper and wakes up every 2 hrs for milk and towards morning sometimes as early as 03:30, is kind of awake as he keeps wailing or squirming and changing positions.
This is when i move him to bed between my husband and me as I feed him milk to help him sleep.
He is formula feed and do eat rice-dal as dinner. During daytime he eats ok.
How can I make him sleep well and nor wake up crying. I want to ensure he gets his sleep.
Thanks,

Suggestions on sleeping pattern
Detailed Answer:
Hi... I understand your concern, but it is not good to induce sleep or change the sleep cycle by force at this age if the baby is crying and fuzzy at night.
That means he might be hungry.
Here are some tips to not make him suddenly awake at night -
1. Try giving him solid feed adequate amount just before putting him to sleep.
2. Try putting fresh diaper before he wets it and wakes up
3. You can try rocking the baby when he gets up immediately.
4. As you say that he is normal in the morning it means that he is getting adequate sleep.
5. Babies have Rapid growth at this age so it is very understandable and it is also physiological that he gets up for milk 2 hours once.
I suggest you not to change this cycle abruptly or by force.
