Question: Hi, my last period was on 30th July, on 11th on went an iui treatment for conception, was on duphaston for 15 days, today morning i took a pregnancy test and there was light positive line, however i started bleeding after an hour, as of now my doctor has suggested to take two tables of duphaston and monitor the flow. Is there a chance that i am pregnant.
Note: My partner had low motility count previously, wherein his sperm weren't surviving post wash, hence was suggested zoamate powder after which i conceived through iui. I am trying for a second child. So should he again take those medicines?

Brief Answer:
iui increases hope of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
HI
Thanks for the query.I have read it&understood your concern..
Duphaston is a hormone (Progesterone)which supports early pregnancy.
In natural conception,it's secreted in ovaries for 12 weeks so that fetus is well settled & placenta then starts secretion of progesteron for stability &development of baby till full term.
*Sometimes when the secretions of hormone progesteron is not sufficient ,bleeding starts. .Suplimentation of the hormone in time stops the bleeding &baby is saved.
*In your case iui was done at ovulation day & conception was expected .To support it doctor had started with Duphaston in advance.
But as the bleeding started...(suggesting either deficient hormone Progesterone OR nonconception) ...doctor had raised the dose of Duphaston..hopefully to to replace possible defeciency &support the pregnancy.
The advise given is proper at the moment. Please follow it,Take rest&observe the bleeding.Inform your doctor accordingly for further advice. Hope you get positive result this time only...But please note that in iui also few attempts may be needed...so be positive.
** please let your partner get consultation of his treating doctor, get semen counts done ..to confirm his latest fertility status&get specific treatment as per need.
When you are going for iui...it's desirable that both of you should be in perfect helth , physically as well as from fertility point of view.
I hope the answer helps you to satisfy your query. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You can try iui after checking for normality of semen.

Detailed Answer:
HI
Thank you for the follow up query.
When it's chemical pregnancy...there is no point in taking tab Duphaston now.
Chemical pregnancy means no formation of an embryo, but just hormonal built up..that's why a faint line in pregnancy test.
This situation demands a semen assessment &consultation of a sterility specialist...have improved semen ,before you go for next iui.
Maxoza powder contains vitamins&nutrients needed for improving fertility .It can be given to your husband along with other needful medications advised by expert..
I hope this helps you.Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
