Brief Answer:
It has to be decided

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

On most ultrasound that show cord around neck, its usually not clear that how much its around he neck or its away from neck and towards head.

That is why with some manipulation by gynecologist during delivery, normal delivery can be tried, while keeping everything ready for C-section. But it can be risky, so I am more in favor of C-section.

Brief Answer:
The loop may disappear

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Loop around neck is more of a problem during labor. If your gynecologist thinks that another ultrasound be done in 5weeks, then we can do that. Because there are chances that loop will disappear in next ultrasound. If labor starts during these 5 days, then your wife will need to be rushed right away to gynecologist.
If loop persists then C section maybe preferred as its being done in routine nowadays and no need to take risk.

So during this time baby is safe?

Brief Answer:
During this time also monitoring required

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

During this time also monitoring of baby's movements are required. If fetal heart rate can be ascertained at any suspicion of slow movements, that will be best. Panic state must also be avoided. Do consult your gynecologist for NST at next visit.
Just to add, multiple loops are more worrisome. Single loop can easily slide over head of baby during normal delivery when gynecologist is experienced.
