Age at procedure approximately 45. Third of three children born at age 41. Unsure of specific procedure name but was done to correct prolapse of intestinal wall into vaginal canal. Specific type of mesh unknown, but it's covered under a current class-action and the patient is registered in that action. First failure occurred approx. six weeks post-surgery, second procedure performed now becoming unstable…blood in urine, possible painful intercourse. Asking about current corrective procedure.
Brief Answer:
Partial Colpocleisis with or without sling
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
Thanks for the information.
Based on my understanding I consider you to have Vaginal prolapse with Entrocoele and repaired by marlex mesh which failed and might be leading or lead to vaginal fistula.
The best corrective procedure considering your age is Partial Colpocleisis with or without sling suspension of the vaginal vault.
Do discuss with your gynecologist about the same and plan on for the procedure.
Hope, I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
regards,
Partial Colpocleisis with or without sling
