Brief Answer:
There is no permanent cure, keloids do not usually become cancerous.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The short answers to your direct and specific questions is:
1. There is no permanent cure.
2. Keloids usually do not become cancerous.
The long form answer is:
Keloids are difficult to treat benign conditions. If they are removed surgically, the chances of recurrence of keloid can be anywhere from 45 to 100%.
The underlying mechanism of keloid development is genetic predisposition so it is not possible to cure it permanently. There are very rare reports of development of cancers in keloids, usually keloids do not become cancerous.
I hope this answers your query.
