Wakalert (Armodafinil) either shows effect within three days or does not show any effect. As per the available literature the effect is evident in 48-72 hours and if there is no effect probably it will not show any effect to the particular individual.

The same is true for modafinil but it does not mean that both molecules will be effective in the similar manner. However it is always better to try higher dose of medication if lower dose does not show effect or the effect is inadequate. As per my own experience I have seen at least thirty individuals who have not responded to armodafinil despite showing good effect with modafinil.

In other words it can be stated that if the lower dose doses not show effect higher dose can be used. In case that also does not show any effect abandoning the medication will be right strategy.

Regarding the correlation of blood flow and modafinil I do not think there is any study of such nature. It is possible that there might be some correlation but this is not proved scientifically and cannot be more than a simple guesswork.

However it is true that uneasiness is known side effect of modafinil which can be experienced in any part of body including calf muscles.
