Is There Any Interaction Between Losartan And Potassium Supplements?
No serious interactions but usefullness is in doubt
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
no serious interactions are supposed to happen. The only thing that needs attention is the combination of losartan with potassium because losartan raise potassium levels. Caution is needed particularly if your potassium levels were on the high normal range.
Besides that, I don't see the need for supplements! Your age and medical history (what you've mentioned) do not justify all that supplementation. You're taking too much vitamin D. Did you have any problems with vitamin D? Were its levels low? And why are you taking potassium and magnesium?
Please not that vitamins A, D, E and K can be accumulated in the body when taken in higher than the required doses and cause trouble.
Potassium and magnesium supplementation is only required when their levels in the body are low. This won't happen in a healthy young man unless kidney, endocrinological problems exist or you're taking drugs that lower serum potassium and magnesium like the diuretics.
