Is There Any Risk To Getting An Epidural During Delivery Time?
Standard risks involved during any procedures, not to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
See, first of all, please try to note that standard risks are involved in any kind of procedures, and unless until complicated the chance of having any of them are quite unlikely too...
Epidural is routinely administered during delivery and mainly depends upon the administering anesthetist... So, if done at a state of the art facility, the chance of having any risk is barely minimal too (I'm not going to discuss those numerous minimal to severe risks which you might've already googled and seen, as they're very generalized and only accounts to increase the anxiety which is not at all recommended at this stage).
Early labor pain is again another unexpected scenario as they aren't routinely faced by the individuals (symptoms can vary from mild to the severe pain lower abdomen and back, heavy pressure like feeling, vaginal water like discharges, breathing difficulties, nausea, vomiting and several others).
Moreover, if the pregnancy course is normal, routine check-ups are timely done and fine then there's no need to worry about early labor pain either...
So nothing to worry, just stay under routine and timely follow-ups of your Gynecologist and proceed for the Delivery as and when advised.
Take Care
Kind Regards
