Is There Anything That Can Reduce Hot Flashes Due To Lupron Injections?
Question: is there anything that can reduce hot flashes from Lupron injections? My husband suffers terribly from them, affecting his sleep, which he already had trouble with. Any help would be appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Hello. Venlafaxine can be used
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I understand your concern. Hot flashes are a common side effects of anti-hormonal therapies but they tend to diminish with increasing duration of therapy. However, if they are really troublesome, you can use venlafaxine which is a selective norepinephrine uptake inhibitor drug. This helps to mitigate hot flashes and elevates mood.
Please consult your doctor for a prescription.
Thanks and regards

Thanks for your answer. Since he's decided to do intermitant therapy, its been four months since he's had a shot. Does going off Lupron make the hot flashes worse or will they decline the longer he goes without a shot?
