Is There Anyway Of Increasing Ovary Reserves?
Question: Hi,
We are under going for the infertility treatment since last 1 year. 4 IUI cycles haev been done, but no result. During the course of treatment it was found the following results of various aspects:
a) FSH : 9
b) LSH : 9
c) AMH : 0.2
Laproscopy was done, it was found that rt. ovary is small in size and lt. Fallopian tube is blocked. But lt. ovary is good in size.
From this month (Aug-2014) we have started IVF process. It was told to us that the ovary reserves are very low. And only 1 follicle was built upto 18 mm size.
We were advised for the oocyte donation process.
My question is, is there any way to increase the ovary reserves?

Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read your query and I understand your concerns.
Following is my reply
1. Each woman is gifted with 2 ovaries which contain millions of eggs at birth.
2. From puberty these eggs get released during ovulation period of menstrual cycle.
3. Once there are no more eggs and no more ovulation the menopause sets in.
4. Unfortunately in your case eggs are over at early age.
5. There is NO WAY to reverse it or produce more eggs.
6. It is better to think about donor egg programme as per your doctor's advice.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
